inspired by Nakashima’s home we ebonized the wood and used cement and wood on the floors to try and affect an authentic interior. The doorway hangings are from temples and said to bless you as you enter your table. One small faux pas mentioned years later was the screen i had purchased at the old Takashimaya department store was actually Chinese.

The first U.S. project for this Portuguese hotel chain was the unifying of three adjacent properties. By removing the middle of the center building we created a pool area and added a small café for the hotel guests in the front structure. Our interiors, although modern are laced with vintage photos and a relaxed beach energy.

FDR goes sexy in this play room of rich colors and lush fabrics featuring the art work of Alex Turco. The energy is as explosive as our custom bronze back lighted panels over the vip banquettes.

Continuing the palette of Bianca’s terrace dining the cabanas were transformed with ROBICARA designed banquettes and double chaises. All equipped with refrigerators and flat screens for a day at the pool. Secked in wood and equipped with a DJ booth, sun beds and a new bar the scene at the new beach club continues through the night!

We transformed the iconic blue door restaurant with a mission to open the adjoining rooms and wash the space in a sexy organic palette and texture. Adding to the intimacy was the addition of oversize lampshade chandeliers softening the scale of the high ceilings. The velvet trimmed linens drapes and upholstered back wall create an acoustic dream while the mirrors are strategically placed for the voyeur at heart!
